Our blog posts should provide useful, timely information to entrepreneurs interested in starting, growing, or managing a business. A blog post can be educational, entertaining, instructional, newsworthy, promotional, or all of the above—as long as the subject is of interest and use to our target audience. Ideally, our blog posts should also be highly sharable through social networks, such as Facebook, Twitter, and Pinterest.

How Long is a Typical Blog Post?

We prefer blog posts between 150 and 300 words. If you would like to write a longer article, please contact us about the possibility of writing for the Materials or News section of BuildMyBiz.

Depending on the topic, BuildMyBiz blog posts should include text links to one or more related resources on BuildMyBiz (articles, webinars, demos, etc.) and/or respected external websites, such as your business website, forbes.com, wsj.com, etc.

How Do I Submit a Blog Post?

  1. Send the topic of your proposed blog post, examples of other blog posts you’ve written, and any links you want to include through the guest blogger form on this page.
  2. After you receive approval from BuildMyBiz, please email the contents of your blog post and bio information to info at buildmybiz.com
  3. We will reply with any suggested changes and/or the scheduled date and time your blog post will be published to https://buildmybiz.com/blog/.

  • Payment – Bloggers anticipating payment for their work should complete our partner form rather than the guest blogger form on this page. Decisions regarding any paid blogging relationship will be made by the BuildMyBiz team based on our partnership needs at that time.
